Frank Schulze

Frank Schulze ( born March 21, 1970 in Riesa ) is a former German football goalkeeper. With Dynamo Dresden and FC Vorwärts Frankfurt (Oder) or its successor club Frankfurter FC Viktoria he played league football. For the GDR Schulze played in both the U-18 as well as in the U-20 national team.

Schulze began his football career in his native city at the Sports Association (SPA) Stahl Riesa. At age eleven, he moved upriver to the police sports club Dynamo Dresden. As a junior player, he was appointed to the U-18 national team of East Germany in 1986, with whom he played 11 full internationals. On July 27, 1988 he was the goalkeeper of the team, the third in the U-18 European Championship, after a 2-0 victory over Spain. With the U -20 team in 1989, he took part in the U- 20 World Cup and played in all three games until the GDR was eliminated in the first round.

Four months later, Schulze was now fully trained as an industrial engineer, nominated as the third goalkeeper for the league team of SG Dynamo Dresden for the 1989/90 season. With some effort, chances Ronny Teuber and Thomas Köhler of 1.87 m wide Schulze was only used in three league games on the 5th, 6th and 26th game day and had therefore only a small proportion of winning the championship in 1990.
