Franklin County (Nebraska)

Franklin County is a county located in the state of Nebraska in the United States. The administrative headquarters ( County Seat) is Franklin, named after Benjamin Franklin.

Geography

The County is located in southern Nebraska, adjacent to the state of Kansas and has an area of 1492 square kilometers without significant water surface. It is bordered clockwise to the following counties: Kearney County, Webster County, Harlan County and Phelps County.

History

Franklin County was formed in 1867. It was named after Benjamin Franklin.
