Franklin Stahl

Franklin William Stahl ( born October 8, 1929 in Boston, United States) is an American geneticist.

Franklin W. Stahl developed in 1958 along with Matthew Meselson, a process which could be demonstrated that the semi- conservative replication of DNA ( = semi - preserving ) is. This test is known as the Meselson -Stahl experiment.

In 1985 he was MacArthur Fellow. In 1996 he received the Thomas Hunt Morgan Medal of the Genetics Society of America.
