Frans Maas

Frans Maas ( born July 13, 1964 in Bergen op Zoom ) is a retired Dutch long jumper.

In 1987 he was eighth at the IAAF World Indoor Championships in Indianapolis and retired at the IAAF World Championships in Rome in qualifying.

In 1988, he won gold at the Indoor Athletics European Championships in Budapest. The following year, he won the bronze medal at the European Indoor Championships in The Hague and was re- eighth at the World Indoor Championships in Budapest.

At the European Athletics Championships in 1990 in Split, he finished in fourth place.

In 1991 he was again at the World Championships in Tokyo do not have the preliminaries out. In 1993, a fourth place finish at the World Indoor Championships in Toronto and was repeatedly off in qualifying at the World Championships in Stuttgart.

The five times he became Dutch champion in the open air (1983, 1989, 1990, 1993, 1994 ) and Hall (1984, 1991-1994). In 1987, he won the national title in the triple jump.
