Franz Cižek

Franz Cizek ( born June 12, 1865 in Leitmeritz (Bohemia ), † 17 December 1946 in Vienna) was an Austrian painter, designer, and art educator.

Cizek studied from 1885 to 1895 at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna with Franz Rumpler and Josef M. Trenkwald. 1897 to 1903 he taught drawing at a secondary school and at his own art school. From 1903 he taught at the Vienna School of Applied Arts. Internationally known Cizek was his youth art classes whose exhibitions were shown in the 1920s in England, the USA, South Africa and India.
