Franz Deym

Franz Graf Deym of Střítež ( Franz de Paula Severin Wenzel Maria Philipp Graf Benitius Deym of Střítež; born August 23, 1838 in Neuschloß at Hohenelbe, Bohemia, † September 3, 1903 in Ecker Village, County neurodegeneration ) was an Austrian diplomat and knight of the Order of the Golden fleece.

Life

Franz Deym of Střítež came from a noble family Deym. His parents were the imperial eunuch and Lieutenant-General Franz de Paula Deym of Střítež (1807-1872) and Ludmilla von Waldstein - Wartenberg (1815-1857), a daughter of Ferdinand Ernst von Waldstein. He first embarked on a military career and was a lieutenant in 1860. A year later he joined the diplomatic service and in the same year embassy attaché in St. Petersburg. In 1869, he was Counsellor of Legation to the Holy See, 1870, he was in Brussels and 1874 in London. 1879 voted him the Bohemian landowners in the Imperial Parliament, in which he was re-elected in 1885.

In 1887 he was a member of the manor. In the same year he was ambassador in Munich. One year, he was appointed ambassador in London.
