Franz Fehrenbach

Franz Fehrenbach ( born July 1, 1949 in Kenzingen ) was Managing Director of Robert Bosch GmbH until he took over the chairmanship of the Supervisory Board of the company in July 2012.

Life and career

Youth, Training and Study

Franz Fehrenbach attended high school Kenzingen. He played handball in the school team of the high school Kenzingen and TB Kenzingen and was one of the leading players.

In 1968, Fehrenbach from the High School. Subsequently, he studied industrial engineering at the University of Karlsruhe. In 1975, he passed the exam with a degree in industrial engineering.

Profession

1975 Fehrenbach joined as a trainee in the Robert Bosch GmbH. In 1976, he was a technical consultant in the Executive Office, Division Electrical and electronic engine equipment. In 1978 he was promoted to head of department order and delivery planning, lighting plant in Stuttgart -Feuerbach. As of 2001, Fehrenbach was a Managing Director of Robert Bosch GmbH and took over July 1, 2003 the presidency of the Bosch board of management of Hermann Scholl, who moved to the top of the GmbH Supervisory Board. His direct responsibilities since then are the key features corporate planning and corporate communication, managerial employees, plants and buildings.

July 1, 2012 Fehrenbach was replaced by Volkmar Denner as Chairman of the Managing Board and Supervisory Board Chairman of the company.

Franz Fehrenbach is also a limited partner of a limited partner of Robert Bosch Industrial Trust KG ( RBIK ). This exerts a total of ten members in the Robert Bosch GmbH of the entrepreneurial ownership functions. The two are complementary Hermann Scholl and Tilman Todenhöfer. The Bosch Industrial Trust KG holds 93 percent of the voting rights and thus essentially determines the Group's strategic orientation.

Franz Fehrenbach is married and has three grown sons.

Honors

Franz Fehrenbach was chosen by the World Wildlife Fund and the Capital magazine "Eco-Manager of the Year 2006" in the field of corporations.
