Franz Josef Radermacher

Franz Josef Radermacher ( born March 20, 1950 in Aachen ) is a professor of computer science at the University of Ulm and Director of the Research Institute for Applied Knowledge Processing. He became known among other things by its commitment to a global eco-social market economy and its commitment to the Global Marshall Plan Initiative, which since 2003 for a fairer globalization, for a " World in Balance " advocates.

Vita

Radermacher doctorate at the RWTH Aachen in mathematics in 1974. He completed his second PhD in 1976 in economics from the University of Karlsruhe. His habilitation in mathematics took place in 1982 at the RWTH Aachen.

From 1983 to 1987 Radermacher was professor of applied computer science at the University of Passau. Since 1987 he has headed the Research Institute for Applied Knowledge Processing (FAW or FAW / n) in Ulm. In the same year he became professor for databases and Artificial Intelligence at the University of Ulm. From 1988 to 1992 he was president of the Society for Mathematics, Economy and Operations Research ( GMÖOR ).

In the following years, Radermacher developed into a much sought-after expert on Globalization design, innovation, technology impact, sustainable mobility, sustainable development and overpopulation. Franz Josef Radermacher and Josef Riegler among the spiritual fathers of the Global Marshall Plan Initiative and the underlying goal of a worldwide eco-social market economy.

In March 2011, Radermacher expressed in the press on the subject of nuclear power, which fell by the nuclear accident at Fukushima on March 11, 2011 in the current headlines. Radermacher moved into this position in the controversial discussion about the abandonment of nuclear energy that an exit was to create not available worldwide. From 1995 to 2001 Radermacher was a member of the Information Society Forum (ISF ) of the EU; at the same time 2000-2001 Speaker of the Global Society Dialogue of the ISF.

1997 he was appointed to the scientific advisory board of Expo 2000 for the topics " Planet of visions" and "The 21st Century."

Since 2001 he has been Vice President of the Eco-Social Forum Europe. Since 2000 Member of the Scientific Advisory Council to the Federal Ministry of Transport, Building and Urban Development, and since 2002 a member of the Sustainability Advisory Board Baden- Württemberg. He is also a member of the Sustainability Conference Hesse since 2008.

From 2002 to 2006 Radermacher was a member of the jury for the award of the German Environmental Award.

From 2003, Chairman of the Scientific Advisory Board and from June 2005 President of the Federal Association for Economic Development and Foreign Trade Association. , He resigned in 2009 Both functions. The collaboration with Dieter Härthe persists, namely eV in the context of the newly initiated Härthe Senate of the economy, whose president Radermacher since 2010, and the Global Economic Network.

He is Chairman of the Board of the Global Contract Foundation. From 2003 to 2008 Radermacher was also Chairman of the Board of the Foundation " Global Marshall Plan ". Since 2002, Radermacher is a member of the Club of Rome and he is engaged at the World Culture Forum in Dresden since 2007.
