Franz Tunder

Franz Tunder (* 1614 in Lübeck, † November 5, 1667 ) was a German composer and organist.

Life

Tunder should be born after the older view in Bannesdorf or Burg auf Fehmarn, according to recent findings, however, is his birthplace Lübeck. After specifying Johann Mattheson Tunder was a student of Girolamo Frescobaldi; the present research, however, doubted this and thought rather that Tunder's predecessor Johann Heckel Auer was a pupil of Frescobaldi. In its follow- Tunder worked from 1632 to 1641 in Gottorp Castle as court organist Friedrich III.
