Franz Ulrich, 11th Prince Kinsky of Wchinitz and Tettau

Frantisek Oldrich Kinsky (German Franz Ulrich Kinsky, born October 7, 1936 in Vienna, † April 2, 2009 in Buenos Aires ) was an Argentine living in a member of the former Czech noble family Kinsky, who has become known by significant legal disputes with the Czech State.

Life

Frantisek Oldrich Kinský was the son of Prince Ulrich Kinsky (1893-1938) and his second wife, Baroness Mathilde von dem Bussche - Haddenhausen ( 1900-1974 ). His siblings were or are: Ulrich (1918-1929), Maria Hosanna (1924-1960), Charlotte (* 1927), Eleanor ( 1932-1983 ) and Aglae ( 1932-1984/1991 ). The first three siblings were from the first marriage of his father with Countess Szechenyi de Sarvar Katalin - Felsövidék ( 1893-1968 ).

In 1940 he emigrated with his mother to Argentina, where he lived until his death. 1942 Kinský inherited several estates of the family, including the Kinsky Palace in the Old Town Square in Prague. These possessions were taken from him in 1945 on the basis of the Beneš decrees. Since 2003 Kinský complained to various Czech courts for the return of assets. In total, there are 157 complaints filed in the dispute value of 1.3 billion euros. In 2005 the Czech Constitutional Court decided that Kinský had no right to the return of the confiscated until the communist coup in 1948 goods. However, the processes to other possessions lasted.

Kinský was married twice. April 14, 1965 to 1977 with Roberta Cavanagh ( 1942-2002 ) and 24 October 1977 with Helena Countess Hutten - Czapska (* 1941).

His son Charles from his first marriage with Roberta Cavanagh was born in 1967. Karl Kinsky is married since 2000 with Maria de los Dolores Beccar Varela ( b. 1971 ) and has three children. Since the death of his father, he has been April 1, 2009 Head of the Kinsky family.
