Franz Xaver Josef von Unertl

Franz Xaver Josef Freiherr von Unertl ( born February 21, 1675 Munich, † January 22, 1750 ibid ) was a Bavarian Elector Privy Council and Chancellor Conference Minister.

Life

In 1691, he completed his studies at the Jesuit Gymnasium in Munich (today Wilhelmsgymnasium Munich ) from and then took up the study of law in Ingolstadt.

According to Christian Probst Unertl was in 1705 secretary of the Imperial Administration in Bavaria. Under Elector Maximilian II Emanuel, he was Councilor and Secretary Secret and came after the occupation of the Retirement Office Munich at the service of the Imperial Administration, where he managed the estates and finances its authority represented in the Bavarian countryside.

Unertl was soon regarded as the most reliable Bavarian officials, which is why it administrator Count Lowenstein by the Bavarian People Survey 1705/ 06 transferred the management of the investigation against the ringleaders. Although he made himself hated by the people, he retained the favor of Max Emanuel, he had brought in the occupation of Munich whose secret archive in security and continued apparently was loud Christian Probst with him in a secret compound. When the Elector returned to Bavaria, he took Unertl again immediately.

His role in the Austrian occupation during the Spanish War of Succession remains unexplained.

His sister Maria Johanna was married to the significant salt merchant Johann Baptista Ruffini.
