Franziska Mietzner

Franziska Mietzner ( born December 20, 1988 in Bad Saarow ) is a German handball player.

The daughter of handball national team Katrin Mietzner played from 2005 to 2013 at the Bundesliga Frankfurt Handball Club. Since the 2013/14 season it runs on for the Thüringer HC.

The 1.92 m wide backcourt player was in the squad of the German junior national team and participated in the U19 European Championship in August 2007, partly in Turkey. In the U-20 World Championship in Macedonia, she won the title. Just before the final whistle they scored the decisive goal for 23:22 against Denmark. She stood in the squad of the German national team for the World Handball Championship for Women 2009 in China and for the World Handball Championship 2011 Women in Brazil.

In February 2012, Mietzner was chosen by the readers of handball handball week of the year 2011.
