Frauenneuharting is a community in the Upper Bavarian district of Ebersberg and a member of the administrative community Aßling.

Geography

Frauenneuharting located in the Munich region in the foothills around 7 kilometers east of Grafing, 19 km southwest of Wasserburg, 28 km north of Rosenheim and 11 km from the district town of Ebersberg. The nearest railway stations are Steinhöring on the railway line Grafing -Wasserburg, Grafing city with connection to the S -Bahn and Aßling on the railway line between Munich and Rosenheim (each 7 km away).

History

Around the year 1000 the church was consecrated in Frauenneuharting. The Catholic parish church of the Visitation in Frauenneuharting is basically late Gothic, Baroque expansion occurred in 1632. Frauenneuharting belonged to Rentamt Munich and the Court of Swabia of the Electorate of Bavaria and was the seat of a main team. The Lords of Pienzenau were connected as Hofmarksherren with Jakobneuharting, former Neuharting, and the surrounding villages from 1381 to 1800. In the course of administrative reform in Bavaria, was born with the congregation of 1818, the current community.

On December 29, 1944 refugee barracks were hit in an air raid the USAAF. Here, five members of a family evacuated Munich were killed. The attack probably was a department of the Research Institute of the Reich Post Office, which was established in 1942 Jakobneuharting. The area itself was not hit.
