Frauke Petry

Frauke Petry ( born June 1, 1975 as Frauke Marquardt in Dresden) is a German chemist, entrepreneur and politician. She is Managing Director of PURinvent System GmbH in Leipzig and was last in 2012 awarded the Federal Cross of Merit. Since 2013, it is one of three speakers of the party alternative for Germany ( AfD ).

Academic and entrepreneurial career

Origin and chemical studies

The daughter of a chemist and an engineer was born in Dresden and grew up in Brandenburg. With her ​​family she moved to the political changes in 1992 in the Westphalian mountain Kamen, where in 1995 she passed his A -levels at the Municipal Gymnasium.

Political positions

In an interview with the Thuringian newspaper Petry demanded less power for Brussels and lamented a loss of democracy in Europe.
