Fred Agabashian

Frederick "Fred" Agabashian ( born August 21, 1913 in Modesto, California, † October 13, 1989 in Alamo, California ) was an American race car driver.

Career

Agabashian was especially successful at Sprint and Midget car racing. Between 1947 and 1958 he played 22 races of the AAA / USAC National series, of which he one (1949 in Sacramento ) could win.

Between the years 1950 and 1960 was one of the 500- mile race from Indianapolis to the world championship of Formula 1 since Agabashian participated 1950-1957 8 times on the 500 miles, stood with him eight World Cup starts to book.
