Fred Funk

Frederick "Fred" Funk ( born June 4, 1956 in Takoma Park, Maryland ) is an American professional golfer on the PGA TOUR. He is one of the absolute favorites of the public on the major North American tournament series.

Funk is a graduate of the University of Maryland, 1981 Occupation golfer and worked until 1988 as a golf instructor before the tournament Done turned in 1989 on the PGA TOUR.

There he succeeded so far eight wins, including the most lucrative Players Championship in 2005, mentions the radio as the oldest winner in its history. In the career money list he is ranked 20 in the World Golf Rankings, he was a long time to find the top 50.

Radio played twice in Team USA at the Presidents Cup and once in the Ryder Cup.

Since June 2006, he is entitled to participate as a senior on the Champions Tour and recorded there in October, on his third -shows, the first victory. Radio but has announced that he will continue to play mainly on the PGA Tour.
