Fred Green

Fred Warren Green ( * October 19, 1871 in Manistee, Michigan, † November 30, 1936 in Munising, Michigan ) was an American politician and from 1927 to 1931 31 governor of Michigan.

Early years

Fred Green attended until 1893, the Michigan State Normal School. Then he studied until 1898 at the University of Michigan law. In the Spanish-American War of 1898, he participated as a lieutenant. After the brief war, he became a lawyer of the city Ypsilanti. At the same time, he represented the law firm " Ypsilanti Reed Furniture Company ". Political rise

Governor of Michigan

Green took up his new post on 1 January 1927. After a re-election in 1928, he could remain in office until January 1, 1931. During this time the criminal laws of the country have been revised and ensured funding for a program to strengthen the hospitals in the country.
