Fred Koenekamp

Fred J. Koenekamp ( born November 11, 1922 in Los Angeles ) is an American cinematographer.

Life and work

Fred J. Koenekamp began his career in the film business mid-1960s. He worked for the television series Solo for UNCLE as a cameraman. By the early 1980s Koenekamp worked reinforced with on television.

In 1974 he was awarded for his work on The Towering Inferno together with his colleague Joseph F. Biroc the Oscar.

More often, he collaborated with director Franklin J. Schaffner.

His father Hans F. Koenekamp worked as a special effects artist in the film business.
