Fred T. Hunt Memorial Award

The Fred T. Hunt Memorial Award is an ice hockey trophy in the American Hockey League. It is awarded annually since 1978 to the player who exemplifies the most exemplary sportsmanship, but also determination and dedication. Making the choice for both players and media representatives from the environment of the AHL.

The trophy was named after Fred T. Hunt, who was the Calder Cup win as a player and general manager of the Buffalo Bisons six times. The original Hunt Trophy was donated by the Buffalo Sabres.
