Freddy Sahin-Scholl

Freddy Sahin- Scholl ( born December 21, 1953 in Heilbronn as Freddy Scholl ) is a German singer and composer. He is also known under the stage name Galileo.

Life

Freddy Sahin- Scholl is the son of a German mother and an American occupation soldiers. His parents, he does not know. With 13 other crew children, he was raised in Wüstenrot of a foster mother who recognized his musical talent and encouraged. Before devoting himself to music, he worked until 1993 as a nurse and anesthesia assistant.

At the age of 40 he discovered his ability, in addition to baritone and countertenor to sing and can change within a piece between these two vocal registers. He has not received vocal training or vocal training.

He became famous after he had set in 1997 poems by Markus Liipertz. In concerts he performed among others with Shirley Bassey for a UNESCO event and was an ambassador for the Special Olympics. Nationwide, he was known in 2010 for his appearances at the RTL show Supertalent. The finale on 18 December 2010, he won with 22.84 percent of all votes caller. Even before his victory in the talent show he submitted his application for the Austrian preselection for the Euro Vision Song Contest 2011 in Dusseldorf. He did not reach the ten finalists.

His victory at the RTL show Supertalent joined a lawsuit with an early retiree who had Sahin- Scholl once moved to participate in the competition and tries to sue for a share in the proceeds after his victory.

Sahin- Scholl lives and works in Karlsruhe. There he met the 2003/2004 know 15 years younger, Turkish-born Jasmine Sahin; since marrying her he carries a double-barreled name. His wife, who at that time ran a event and artist agency, is his manager.
