Geographical Location
The integrated municipality located southwest of the county seat Stade between Hamburg and Bremen on the Stader Geest. The area includes the integrated municipality in the district of Helmste part of Rüstjer forest.

History
The Samtgemeinde Fred Beck has existed since 1965. During the administrative and territorial reform in 1972 they re-formed from the communities Deinste, Fred Beck and Kutenholz.

In the local elections on 11 September 2011, both the CDU and the SPD suffered significant losses, which the CDU lost its absolute majority in the Samtgemeinderat. Sports
