Fredensborg Municipality

Fredensborg Kommune is a Danish municipality in the northeast of the island of Zealand. It was created on 1 January 2007 as part of local government reform by combining the existing municipalities Fredensborg - Humlebæk and Karlebo.

Fredensborg municipality has a total population of 39 462 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2013 ) and an area of ​​112.10 km ². It is part of the Capital Region. The seat of government is in Kokkedal.

The area contains the following parish communities (Danish: Sogn ) and villages with over 200 inhabitants ( byer as defined by the Danish Bureau of Statistics ).
