Frederick Albert, Prince of Anhalt-Bernburg

Friedrich Albrecht von Anhalt- Bernburg ( born August 15, 1735 in Bernburg, † April 9, 1796 in Ballenstedt ) from the house of Ascanians was reigning prince of Anhalt- Bernburg.

Life

Friedrich Albrecht was the eldest son of Prince Victor II Friedrich von Anhalt- Bernburg (1700-1765) from his second marriage with Albertine (1712-1750), daughter of Margrave Albrecht of Brandenburg- Schwedt, Friedrich.

After his death he went to the government follow-up and moved the residence from Bernburg to Ballenstedt. There he settled in 1788 a small neoclassical Court Theatre building. He was regarded as a " milder " father of his country as Victor Frederick and decreed that women could also make legally binding acts. In Bernburg he allowed the establishment of a deposit and Leihhauses. Since 1763, he was married to the Duchess Louise Albertine of Holstein- Plön. On 22 December 1785, he signed to join the league of princes. After the death of Prince Friedrich August von Zerbst 1793, he regulated the Zerbst division within the meaning of the remaining hitchhikers principalities and Catherine II of Russia. Friedrich Albrecht is considered the founder of the Anhalt mineral collection. Whether he came through a hunting accident or suicide committed, could never be fully understood.

Friedrich Albrecht married on June 4, 1763 in Bernburg Luise ( 1748-1769 ), daughter of Duke Friedrich Karl zu Holstein -Sonderburg- Plön, with whom he had the following children:
