Frederick II of Zollern
Frederick II ( * before 1125, † 1142 / after 1145 fallen) was Count of Zollern. He was named as an imperial partisan.
Life
He was the son of Count Frederick I and Udilhilds of Urach - Dettingen.
Friedrich was in alliance with Emperor Lothar III. and at a distance from the Swabians. He joined these, however, after 1138 in the fight against Guelph on.
At that time the counts were significantly expand their allodial ownership of territories and castles in Southwest Germany ( to the Rhine and Upper Danube, the Neckar and Alsace ). Likewise fiefs were added, which were hereditary soon.
