Frederick III, Margrave of Brandenburg-Ansbach

Friedrich III. of Brandenburg- Ansbach ( born May 1, 1616 Ansbach; fallen † September 6, 1634 in Nördlingen ) was Margrave of Ansbach Frankish principality from 1625 to 1634.

Frederick was the eldest son of the Margrave Joachim Ernst of Brandenburg- Ansbach and his wife, the Countess Sophie of Solms- Laubach. When he succeeded in Margravate Brandenburg -Ansbach after the early death of his father in 1625, he was still a minor. Guardianship and government transactions were therefore initially guided by his mother. 1634 has come of age, he fell in the same year on the Swedish side in the Battle of Nördlingen. He was unmarried and without issue, so his inheritance went to his brother Albert.
