Frederick Tutu Goodwin

Sir Frederick Tutu Goodwin KBE, JP is current representative of the Queen of New Zealand, Elizabeth II, in the Cook Islands.

He has held since February 9, 2001, the Office of the Queen's Representative. On June 12, 2004 Goodwin was appointed Knight Commander of the Order of the British Empire.

Goodwin began in 1956 a police training and was responsible in 1974 as superintendent of security measures when visiting the Queen in Rarotonga at the opening of the airport. Later, he was more than twenty years as head of the public service (Public Service Commissioner). 1978 to 1983 he was a member of the 24-member Parliament and Secretary of State (assistant minister ) in the Ministry of Energy and labor; In 1991 he was appointed Justice of the Peace ( Justice of the Peace ).
