Fredonia is a city in Coconino County in the northwestern part of the U.S. state of Arizona, known as the Arizona Strip. In 2000 it had 1036 inhabitants and an area of 19.2 km ². The population density is 54.0 / km ². Fredonia is located at the intersection of Arizona State Route 389 with U.S. Highway 89A and the Kanab Creek, a tributary of the Colorado River.
