Fredrik Bremberg

Per Fredrik Bremberg ( born June 21, 1973 as Per Fredrik Lindquist in Stockholm) is a Swedish professional ice hockey player who played in the Swedish Elitserien HV71 Jonkoping at.

Career

Fredrik Bremberg began his career as a hockey player on Huddinge IK, for those in the second class Division 1, he made his debut in professional hockey in the 1989/90 season. Then, the attacker moved to Djurgårdens IF, with whom he was first in his career, Swedish Champion in 1991. He also won with the team in 1991 and 1992, respectively European Cup. Selected in the NHL Entry Draft in 1991 in the third round as 55th player overall by the New Jersey Devils, for whom he never played, however. In the 1997/98 season he was with 32 assists best assist provider of Elitserien.

Then Bremberg received a contract with the Edmonton Oilers, for in the National Hockey League he was in eight games on the ice in the summer of 1998. However, the majority of the 1998/99 season he spent at their farm team, the Hamilton Bulldogs of the American Hockey League. After only one year, the Swede returned to Europe, where he ran aground in the 1999/2000 season for HC Davos in the National League A.

After Bremberg of 2000 was active in the Elitserien for Malmo IF to 2002, he returned in connection to Djurgårdens IF, where he has played ever since. In the 2006/07 season he was also elected to the Swedish All- Star Team and received the Guldhjälmen. Since 29 January 2009, he holds the record for most points in the main round of the Elitserien as he overtook his compatriot Jörgen Jönsson, who had the record set only ten days earlier. In summer 2009, the striker again ventured an attempt abroad and signed with Atlant Mytischtschi from the Kontinental Hockey League. However, these sorted him even before the season started out, whereupon the Swede Jokerit of the Finnish SM- liiga joined. For the 2010/11 season he signed a contract with HV71 Jonkoping. In September 2011, his contract was dissolved.

In 2003 he had his last name Lindquist change in the current.

Internationally

For Sweden Bremberg participated in the World Youth Championship in 1993, as well as the World Championships in 2000 and 2007 in part.
