Free Bolivia Movement

The Movimiento Bolivia Libre (MBL ) is a progressive political party in Bolivia.

The MBL was formed on 15 January 1985, originally as a spin-off of the Party MIR, under the name ME Bolivia Libre.

In the general election of 2002, the MBL in alliance with the Movimiento Nacionalista Revolucionario (MNR ) won 26.9 % of the popular vote, 36 by 130 deputies seats and 11 of 27 Senate seats.

In the general election of December 2005, the MBL, however, did not reach the required minimum percentage, so that the party has lost its party status for the time being.
