Liberala samlingspartiet (Swedish, The Liberal Coalition Party ) was represented in the Swedish Parliament Liberal Party.

History

The party was diskussionsklubben with the two liberal groups in the Reichstag Friesenska on January 16, 1900 by the merger of Folkpartiet and founded Bondeska diskussionsklubben. The new party joined part of the Conservative Party and Lantmannapartiet lots. One of the core objectives of the party was the introduction of general suffrage.

Had Liberala samlingspartiet at its inception 84 MPs in the Lower House of the Diet. For the election of the Swedish Parliament in 1905 the party achieved its best result with 106 mandates and presented following the election with Karl Staaff the Prime Minister ( 1905-06 ). The party presented two more times the head of government of 1911-14 ( also Karl Staaff ) and 1917-20 with Nils Edén.

1924, during the discussion of a ban on alcohol, the party into two camps ( Frisinnade Folkpartiet and Liberala riksdagspartiet ) fell and broke up.
