Freedom Airlines

Freedom Airlines, Inc. was an American regional airline based in Irving. She was a subsidiary of Mesa Air Group and flew last exclusive branded Delta Connection for Delta Air Lines.

History

Freedom Airlines was founded in March 2002 by the Mesa Air Group and began flight operations in October 2002. It was originally launched to fly the conditions of America West as America West Express Bombardier CRJ900 with being able to accomplish. Mesa Airlines, the largest airline in the Mesa Air Group, had a codeshare agreement with U.S. Airways as U.S. Airways Express. U.S. Airways had a contract with the Air Lines Pilots Association, which forbade the airline with regional jet operators who use the machines with more than 70 seats together. Therefore Mesa Airlines could not fly at the same time as U.S. Airways Express CRJ900 and operate machinery.

Initial operational Freedom Airlines Bombardier CRJ700 and CRJ900 that only America West Airlines. After U.S. Airways had agreed with the pilots for the operation of larger regional jets, Mesa transferred all operations to the Freedom Airlines Mesa Airlines.
