Freedom of Mobile Multimedia Access [ fɹi ː ˌ dəm əvməʊbaɪl mʌltimi ː diə æksɛs ] ( FOMA ) denotes an introduced by the Japanese network operator NTT Docomo in 2001 mobile network of the third generation (3G). It is technically a precursor of UMTS.
