Freeflying

Free Flying is one of the youngest disciplines in skydiving. Invented in the late 1980s by the German Olav Zipser and later founder of the "1st School of Modern Skyflying " together with Mike Vail, Charles Bryan, Omar Alhegelan and Stefania Martinengo, it has - initially ridiculed - developed into a serious and recognized sport. Today, international competitions such as the "Space Games" discharged.

Freefly differs from other disciplines in skydiving that the parachutist is not bound to a fixed specific flight situation such as the prone position during formation skydiving. Typical attitudes are over- head ( head down ), standing ( Standup ), sitting ( sitfly ), but every position imaginable is possible.
