Free - Laubersheim is a municipality in the district of Bad Kreuznach in Rhineland- Palatinate. It belongs to the municipality of Bad Kreuznach.

Geography
The place is located, as well as Fürfeld and Neu-Bamberg, in the Rheinhessen Switzerland.
For free - Laubersheim includes the living spaces on Laubersheim station, yard at the Roman road, Johanneshof, Lindenhof and Rheingrafenhof.
History
The town was first mentioned as Liubherisheim in the Lorsch Codex documented in 767. He was called to distinguish it from Waldlaubersheim at Stromberg - free Laubersheim or Kappes - Laubersheim. The village was part of the early Middle County of Sponheim. After the extinction of the Counts of Sponheim, the territory was split into several times alternating possession. As of 1707 free - Laubersheim was due to a division of the contract completely to Electoral Palatinate. The place was assigned to the upper office Kreuznach.
After taking the left bank of the Rhine by French revolutionary troops (1794 ), the region belonged from 1798 to 1814 to under the French administration newly established Department of thunder mountain, free - Laubersheim was assigned to the Canton Wöllstein, the village was in 1800 the capital of a Mairie, which also Volxheim belonged.
Based on the decisions taken at the Congress of Vienna agreements came later called Rheinhessen region and thus free - Laubersheim 1816 Grand Duchy of Hesse.

Coat of arms
The blazon of the arms is: " From -curved decreased silver lace, in a blue Franconian brooch clasp, split; geschacht front in blue and gold, back in black, a red and reinforced -crowned golden lion ".
Blue and gold were the colors of the Counts of Sponheim. The lion refers to the membership of the Electoral Palatinate. The clasp brooch is made of a Frankish grave Fund.

Viniculture
Free - Laubersheim part of the " wine field Bingen " in the Rheinhessen region. In the village 20 wineries operate, the area under vines is 121 hectares. About 77 percent of the cultivated wine are white wine varietals ( 2007). In 1979, 48 companies were still active, the former vineyard was 116 acres.
