Free Stone depths ( up to 1958 officially free stone ) is a municipality in the district of Bülach in the canton of Zurich in Switzerland.

Geography
Free Stone depths between Irchel and Dättenberg in the lower Tösstal on the right side of the Töss. It consists of the villages of free stone and depths and borders in the Tössegg to the Rhine. On the left side of the river is Rorbas. The two towns are connected by a modern road bridge and an old arch bridge.
The municipality is 8.32 km ² large, of which 50 % forest, 40 % agriculture, 6% and 4% settlements traffic / road.
Name
The name of free stone is derived from the castle free stone.
The community was as Rorbas on free stone or Rorbas ennet the Töss designated before 1800.

December 31, 2011 were 49.3 % of the population to Protestant Reformed Church and 21.9 % to the Roman Catholic Church.
