Fremont County (Colorado)

Fremont County [ fɹi mɑ ː ː nt] is a county located in the central to southern part of the State of Colorado of the United States. The administrative headquarters ( County Seat) is Cañon City.

Geography

Fremont County is located partly in the Sangre de Cristo Mountains, a mountain range of the Rocky Mountains, which extends into the district in the southwest to the river valleys of the Arkansas. The West Fremont is a pure mountain landscape, in which there are only some very small settlements along the Arkansas.
