French Reformed Church (Königsberg)

The French Reformed Church was a church in Königsberg. She stood at the King Street corner Hofmeister country road. 1733-1736 it was built by Joachim Ludwig mayor of Unfriedt as an elongated decagon for escaped from France Huguenots. The tower at the dainty rococo building remained unfinished. The church had an almost square central room which was surrounded by elliptical, pillared aisles. An organ was installed in 1739.

The sermons were always in French. Your preacher La Canal and Commerce Prin reached in 1807 in the Peace of Tilsit, a reduction of Kriegstribution from 20 to 12 million francs. From 1817 on every 4th Sunday was German preached; French in 1831 only every 4 weeks. 1847 said the preacher Louis Guillaume Daniel Detroit in the pulpit from the Athanasian creed going on and was discontinued for 1852.
