French submarine Africaine (Q196)

The L' Africaine (Q 196 ) was a French submarine L' Aurore class. After the Armistice in 1940, the boat is under construction fell into the hands of the German Navy. The submarine was renamed on 13 May 1941 in UF 1 but not completed.

After the war ended in 1945, the boat was built at the end and used until 1961 by the French Navy.

L' Africaine was scrapped in 1963.
