Best FReinde (Original Title: Frenemies ) is an American Disney Channel Original Movie of the year 2012, based on the novel by Alexa Young. The film tells the stories of three couples of friends where the friendship to enmity. Directed by Daisy von Scherler Mayer.
Action
Frenemies tells the story of three very different sets of friends dealing with the ups and downs of friendship. In all stories Avalon, Halley, Savannah or Jake appear in major or minor roles.
Jake Logan and his dog Murray are inseparable friends. When Jack his dog presents his new science partner and swarm Julianne, the dog of the girl is not enthusiastic. This is based on reciprocity. Therefore Julianne tried everything to get rid of the dog and Jake for their project to win so she can get a rating of 1. Therefore, she claims that her new boyfriend Jake, when he makes the project. She steals Jake 's NASA certificate and flushed it down the toilet. Jake believes that it was his dog Murray and chases him to the devil. The dog runs away and is taken from Savannah. The next day, Jake begins to fear that Murray might not return and manages to finish Julianne's science project. He wants to impress Julianne and dresses better for the school, but is made by Avalon and Halley down. Also Julianne is not impressed as Jack realizes that she has only played with him. This opportunity takes advantage of Savannah and shows Jake, Julianne's true face, the Savannah has a crush on Jake. In the end, Jake and his dog Murray reconcile.
Avalon Greene and Halley Brandon have always been very best friends and the most popular girl in school. As their blog Geekly Chic is to appear in a magazine, their friendship is put to the test. Because the magazine wants to keep only one of the two as managing editor. A fight for the place erupted among friends, because everyone believes it is the best for the job. Avalon and Halley both want to do an interview with the singer Jean- Frank and come up again and again in the way. At the end they realize that friendship is more important than the place of conducting an editor and choose the item to share.
The third story is about Savannah and Emma, to see the places of trade, as their life is. Savannah is a casual girl who loves skateboarding and with her father and three brothers living together. Meanwhile, Emma is a British girl who goes to a private school and nothing sehnlicheres wishes than to be a normal girl. When Savannah and Emma's face each other in the mall, they decide for a week to swap places to see how the other lives. After a while both realize that none of them like the new life, so they decide their role again to swap back. During her time as Emma is Savannah has separated from Emma's friend Lance. The two girls become friends and end all ( Avalon, Halley, Jake, Julianne ) at Emma's ( at this time Savannah ) birthday party.
Production
On 16 March 2011 the Disney Channel announced that the film will be produced as Frenemies Disney Channel Original Movie. A short time later, Bella Thorne, Zendaya and Dylan Everett were cast in important roles. Thorne and Zendaya were already for the common series Shake It Up - Dancing 's all on camera.
Filming took place from 9 April 2011 to 16 May 2011 in Toronto, Canada.
Meaning of the movie title
The film's title Frenemies is composed of the words Friend ( German friend) and Enemy (German enmity ). It is intended to represent the relationship between two friends, the friends, but at the same time are enemies or competitors. But it can also mean that out of a friendship enmity or competition can be.
Broadcast
The film celebrates 8 January 2012 its world premiere on the UK Disney Channel before it was broadcast on 13 January 2012 at the U.S. Disney Channel. He was seen there of 4.20 million viewers.
In Germany the film on May 12, 2012, broadcast on the German branch of the Disney Channel. In the German Free-TV movie on February 24, 2013 were shown at RTL. In his free TV premiere of the film of 0.77 million viewers was followed, which led to 8.0 percent in the target demographic.
