Fres Oquendo

Fres Oquendo ( born April 1, 1973 in San Juan ) is an American heavyweight boxer Puerto Rican origin.

Professional career

The counterattack Boxer Oquendo 1997 pro. In 1999, he surprisingly defeated the undefeated Nigerian bronze medalist of the Olympic Games in Atlanta, Duncan Dokiwari, on points. Following a two- year break, he returned in 2006 under his new promoter Lou DiBella back into the ring. On November 10, 2006, he narrowly lost on points against the already 44 -year-old Evander Holyfield after he had to the ground in the first round. Without the precipitation of the fight would have been a draw.

In December 2008, he lost by split decision against James Toney. On Jul 2009 he had a KO win in round 9 against former WBA champion Bruce Seldon.
