Frescati (Stockholm)

Frescati is an area in Norra Djurgården district in the north-east of Stockholm, where, among other things riksmuseet the Naturhistoriska, Stockholm University, the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences and a large student residential area lying. The area was by King Gustav III. Named after an Italian model.

Part of the district is also the Bergianska trädgården (Stockholms botanical garden ) and the area Lappkärrsberget and Ekhagen.

Lappkärrsberget, colloquially known in the Stockholm students as " Lappis " denotes the closed system of several student residences in Stockholm, which is inhabited by 2,000 students and university employees. It is located in close proximity to the University of Stockholm. Curiosity is the weekly shouting out the window, which always takes place on Tuesdays by 22 clock.
