Freycinet Peninsula

Geographical location

The Freycinet Peninsula is located on the eastern coast of the Australian state of Tasmania, and extends south into the Tasman Sea. With the mainland (the island of Tasmania ), the peninsula is connected by narrow sandbars.

The peninsula is about 23 km long and up to 6.5 km wide. It has a land area of ​​65 km ² and rises up to 613 m above sea level. Its southernmost preceded immediately is the small Schouten Island.
