Timo Konietzka ( born August 2, 1938 in Lünen as Friedhelm Konietzka, † 12 March, 2012 Brunnen SZ, Switzerland ) was a German football player and coach, who also owned the Swiss citizenship in 1988. In the 1960s, the striker and scorer of the first goal in the Bundesliga title with Borussia Dortmund history and the TSV 1860 München won. As a coach, he led the FC Zurich to three championships and three cup victories.

Because of its resemblance to the Soviet General Timoshenko Friedhelm Konietzka once the nickname " Timo " was missed; later he took this name officially. His surname is pronounced without the letter "e".

Life

Konietzka grew up in Lünen and worked there since he was 14 years underground in the coal industry, as well as his father and three brothers in the Zeche Victoria.
