Friedolsheim

Friedolsheim (Alsatian "Free Delse " ) is a commune with 251 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the department of Bas- Rhin in the Alsace region.

History

The village already existed in ancient times. During archaeological excavations the remains of a road from the 2nd century were identified. From the year 770 - at that time there had the Abbey of Fulda lands - comes a first written mention. In the year 826 the village was called "Peace House" and was one of the county villages.
