Friedrich Aue

Friedrich Aue ( born July 27, 1896 in Dodendorf, † November 27, 1944 in Brandenburg an der Havel ) was a resistance fighter against National Socialism.

Life

Aue seized first the profession of the locksmith. In 1925 he joined the Communist Party. After the seizure of power by the Nazis in 1933, he took part in the resistance. In February 1944 he was arrested by the Gestapo. Aue was sentenced on 25 October 1944 to the death. The death penalty was enforced on 27 November 1944 at the Brandenburg prison.

The city of Magdeburg named in his honor a street ( Friedrich Aue- road).
