Friedrich Gustav Lisco

Friedrich Gustav Lisco ( born February 12, 1791 in Brandenburg an der Havel, † July 5, 1866 in Berlin) was a German Protestant theologian.

Lisco studied from 1811-1812 at the University Viadrina in Frankfurt ( Oder) and the University of Berlin, among others, Friedrich Schleiermacher, August Boeckh and Johann Gottlieb Fichte. From 1814, he worked as a preacher in Berlin. On November 1, 1839, he was made an honorary Doctor of Theology Faculty of the University of Berlin.

He was one of the founders of the Berlin asylum Association for the homeless.

His son was the preacher Emil Gustav Lisco.
