Art -historical classification

Herlin shows himself a follower of Roger van der Weyden, with whom he whose style he has probably learned and gives the upper Germans, but without arriving at an independent expression. Herlin is at the transition from the medieval gold ground representations to a new realistic representation, which emanated from the Dutch painting.

For art and cultural history interesting, amusing for viewers, is the reading with glasses Apostle Peter.
