Friedrich Ris

Friedrich Ris (* 1867 in Glarus, † January 30, 1931 in Rheinau ) was the director of the asylum Rheinau and a major Swiss dragonflies researchers.

His eponymous father Friedrich Ris was a merchant from Fluntern. His mother was Mary Schmid. He attended high school in Zurich. He then studied from the winter semester 1885 at the University of Zurich and graduated from May 3, 1890. His MD thesis already followed on 24 June 1890 was the topic of the dissertation.
