Friedrich Ritter von Friedländer-Malheim

Friedrich Friedlander, Friedlander later Knights of Malheim ( born January 10, 1825 Kohljanowitz in Bohemia, † June 13, 1901 in Vienna ) was a German - Bohemian genre painter.

Life

Friedrich Friedlander studied at the Vienna Academy, then at Ferdinand Georg Müller forest. He undertook study trips to Italy (1850), Dusseldorf (about 1851-1854 ) and Paris. First, a history painter, he turned to the genre since 1854. He painted scenes especially from the Vienna population and the soldier's life and from the Swabian folk life.

Between his two for the Belvedere Palace acquired works: people out of an office building on the street streaming (1859 ) and strawberry suppliers (1872 ), is a rich number of finely characterized and cozy fully -conceived genre pictures. His specialty was the depiction of the contemplative life in disability warehouses, where there are few works in the collections of the Vienna Museum of Military History here.

Friedlander was a member of the Corps Hassia Darmstadt, Berlin and Franconia Vienna Teutonia.
