Frik du Preez

Frederick Christoffel Hendrik du Preez ( born November 28, 1935 in Rustenburg ) is a former South African rugby union player who played in the second row or flanker. He was active for the Northern Transvaal Rugby Union and the South African national team.

Du Preez was launched on January 7, 1961 for the first time for South Africa during the match against England. Ten years later, he finished with 35 years after beating Australia 's international career. He was one of the best all-rounder and one of the few striker, who also dominated the kicking. In addition to his jumping ability, he was also very fast and skillful for his stature. His teammate Danie Craven described du Preez as a unique player who could play almost every position.

Du Preez is still one of the most popular athletes of his country, he was chosen among others, South African expert player of the 20th century. In 1997, they took him into the International Rugby Hall of Fame. In 2003 he was the Rugby World Magazine, along with Craven 's ten best players of all time counted.
